Samsung eSIM troubleshooting

eSIM is not activating on my Galaxy

Make sure the phone is on Wi-Fi (eSIM profiles will not download over cellular), the device is unlocked from any previous carrier, and software is up to date under Settings > Software update. Restart and re-try Add eSIM. If it fails, the carrier may need to confirm the profile was pushed.

"Network not available" after installing the eSIM

Open Settings > Connections > SIM manager and confirm the eSIM toggle is on. Enable Data roaming if you are on a travel eSIM. Manually select the operator under Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Network operators. If still failing, reset network settings via Settings > General management > Reset.

Cannot scan the QR code

Use Enter activation code manually on the Add eSIM screen — paste the SM-DP+ address and activation code from your provider. QR codes are single-use; if you scanned it already, ask the provider for a fresh one.

How do I transfer my eSIM to a new Galaxy?

On the new phone go to SIM manager > Add eSIM > Transfer SIM from another phone. It shows a 6-digit code — enter it on the old Galaxy via the same menu, select the line, then tap Transfer on both. Both phones must be on Wi-Fi.

Can I transfer my eSIM from an iPhone to a Galaxy?

Yes, on One UI 6.1 or newer (Galaxy S24 and later by default; older flagships via the One UI 6.1 update). Use SIM manager > Add eSIM > Transfer SIM from iPhone. Carrier support is required — T-Mobile US and the major EU operators were first.

How do I delete an eSIM?

Settings > Connections > SIM manager, tap the eSIM, tap Remove. Deleting on-device does not cancel the carrier plan — contact the provider to stop billing.
